Saif bin Zayed witnesses the signing of an MOU on collaboration in innovation

This story was contributed to by WAM. H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for the UAE, has signed an MoU between Al Ghurair University and the Ministry of Interior to reinforce future cooperation in areas of innovation.
The MoU aims to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise and the participation of both parties in future workshops, conferences, exhibitions and other innovation-related events. It also focuses on providing the necessary support in terms of expertise, professional teams and available resources to enable the University’s Office of Industrial Engagement and Technology Transfer to register international patent licenses.
The MoU helps to support the goals of Al Ghurair University, which plays an instrumental role as an incubator for innovation and research in the UAE and enables successful business ventures to be launched based on the latest technological knowledge. It was also agreed that the Innovation Laboratory at Al Ghurair University will play a crucial role in the future development and implementation of innovative ideas.
H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed combined the signing with a tour of Al Ghurair University’s research centers and laboratories, and also met with students to view their projects.

His visit, and the signing of the MoU, reflects the dedicated attention and follow-up of the wise government to promote research and higher education. It also emphasises the Al Ghurair University’s instrumental role in supporting innovation through the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Interior’s Innovation Centre. We look forward to further joint business ventures between the university and various government agencies.”
