Al Ghurair University’s staff to faculty ratio, and the research activity of our faculty, is one of our key strengths.

• Al Ghurair University’s faculty to staff ratio is one of the most favorable in the country.  Since all faculty are expected to be research active, this gives students personalized attention f rom mentors who are at the cutting edge of their fields.

Accredited programs

All of Al Ghurair University's programs are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education. A number of our undergraduate programs are also accredited by the international engineering accreditation body ABET:

Research

Al Ghurair University offers a rigorous research environment. Our research areas of interest include Aerospace, Transport and Logistics, Energy and the Environment, Healthcare, Information and Communication Technology, and Security. Our research goals are supported by a number of research centers based within the University, including:

A growing center of excellence

• In 2022 Al Ghurair University was listed as one of the best universities in the UAE by the Times Higher Education World University rankings. This was the first time that AGU had been listed by THE. 
• The University was also ranked as the youngest university in the 2022 Top 100 under 50 list published by QS, falling under the 51-60 bracket. This pushed the university up 20 places from the previous year, when it first appeared on the list.
